Hello my friends,

About 2 months ago I bought a little bonsai almost for free. I wanted to know what you guys think about my setup. And also how does my bonsai look. It looks healthy to me. I just changed the pot to a bigger one. I’m currently watering it 2-3 times a week. I collected some moss from a park nearby to put it in my setup but I don’t know if it is good or bad for the tree. I’m also not very sure of the species.

Greetings y’all

It's a juniper and needs to be outside or it will be dead before you can say 每日吃瓜.
Also that pot is waaay to big for that little tree.
Last: remove the moss, not doing any good

It depends on what you want to do with this tree. But I dont agree that the pot is too big. I would grow it in a much bigger pot for a few years to get thicker trunk and a lot more to work with.

Luc gave all the answers needed.

Be carefull putting small trees in overly big containers. This does not make the tree grow bigger. Especially junipers do not like overpotting.

I have junipers planted in the ground doing better than the potted ones.
