Does anyone have experience with grafting Hinoki? cypress? I have a dwarf cultivar which absolutely does not back-bud, and am thinking about grafting?
in some branches that I might take from a younger plant. Obviously I'd be grafting them lower on the trunk, and trying to keep the foliage near the trunk.?

what are your thoughts??
