Hello all. I'm still here, just have been very busy. All my trees are either in the house now if they are tropical or in the ground and mulched. Michigan winters can be brutal so I am trying to prepare.

I am currently air layering a scheffelara, yes I know it's not spring, but what do ya know...it's working. It is kept in my warm bathroom where it is humid.

I bent a branch on another tropical a bit too much and crack. I worried the branch was a goner, but it is healing itself and even putting out new shoots. (also a scheffelara)

My P Afra lost all is leaves after moving it inside and a little trim. I've learned never water a succulent after stressing them out. no watering until thy start putting out new growth, fortunately I have tons of new growth now.

I have made the acquaintance of two excellent bloggers who have been such a help to me. They have been gracious in answering my questions via email.

I need to take a wiring class but my circumstances in caring for my mother right now do not allow that. I realize you can get a lot online but there is nothing that beats hands on, right in front of your face learning.
