Thanks for the tip.. I checked the tree again.. and most of the yellow leaves are not on the tips..

So you chinese elms don't drop all their leaves in fall/winter?

as far as I know (...) they drop their leaves depending the weather. In winters without frost they may stay green, I think. but I am not sure. :S
