Has anyone ever worked with a Shumard Oak before? I have one growing for fun and I am wondering what to do with it.

Never used the species. Also cannot find anything reltaed to bonsai about it. TO me that is always indicative of whether a species is suitable, assuming it it a fairly common tree. My bet would be that the leaves do not reduce enough to make a realistic bonsai
