so, I received my ficus and its bark is a dark color-is that normal? I have just never seen the bark color on others that dark.

Hi Carol
The different or dark color can be normal, it depens what species exactly and where the original Plant comming from.
Same species can be look different 200 miles away (Bark or Leaves).
The Pictures shows Ficus microcarpa with darker Bark, i like the dark ones better, but i think they get more bright with age !?
