Hi everyone,

My parents offered me this bonsai for Christmas but I am not quite sure what species it is. I hope it's a real bonsai - they bought it at their local garden store and the label did not identify it.

每日吃瓜 is not a tree species.

Looks like a Syzygium. Not sure.

Hi Ank. Thank you for yout message. Sorry if I wasn't very clear, I meant to ask if in your opinion what I have is a tree, a shrub or a plant (trunk has been cut at thr very top and still had a thick diameter there, not sure if a tree would develop like that)?

I did some further research and found someone with a similar tree claiming they had a myrtus communis, but if I compare the leaves to other myrtle tree leaves, they're not quite the same.

I also got a bonsai for Christmas, not sure what species it is and just decided to make an account on this website. Can you inform me on how to make my own post so people will see?
