Hi guys. Im thinking of getting my first bonsai tree. I like the looks of the golden ficus bonsai so far. I plan to buy a grow light for it and keep it on my night stand. What soil would be best? How much water does it need/how often? My main concern is over/under watering. :( Thank you! Any advice is needed!

My recommendation would be to read a bit about bonsai. Growing bonsai is not about keeping a decorative plant besides your bed. TO really grow bonsai you will not be able to create the optimal conditions for the growth needed.
