Hi there,
I got a Chinese elm bonsai tree for Xmas and have been excited to see I’ve been getting some really good growth on it, I read that you should only prune when there’s wood is this correct? I’ll attach some photos and would appreciate knowing if this can be pruned already?
Thanks
Jason

Yes, it can be trimmed to the second pair of leaves if the conditions are right.
Is it outdoors?
Is it summer or winter in your location?
Do you get frost where you live?

Thanks for your reply it’s kept indoors by a window in the U.K, it’s still winter spring starts in April but there’s no chance of frost due to it being kept indoors.
