You can make a bonsai of almost any tree. Not that I have seen any orange bonsai.
It will need cold but frost Free winters. So if you thinking indoor as living room temperature, then the answer is no you cannot keep it indoors.

There are a lot of problems with outdoor plants moving indoors. Spider mites come out of nowhere and infect the tree, ants and aphids find cracks to come inside and eat up the plant, dust from the air collects on the leaves, windows filter out the light frequencies the plant wants, etc. You can handle every one of these problems, but you have to detect them and handle them one at a time. Quite a few of us have tried and given up. Some have success, and you could very easily be a success. You have the plant, so you have nothing to lose, so give it a try.Moel wrote: Thank you for your help. If you city is named after the plant, you almost certainly are not the only one to try this. Call city hall and ask them if there are bitter oranges in their building. Call a school, ask the same. Google bonsai societies in your town.
Look up what the requirements of the plant are and see how you can handle them - temperature range, light requirements, etc. You may have to adjust the temperature and humidity ranges you are used to, but why not?
