hi I've recently purchased a beautiful Canadian hemlock and started to take care of it I've scoured the internet for more info on caring for this plant but it is bare. I want to take care of this tree to the best of my ability and dont want to kill it
what I do know. the plant requires 3-5 hours of sun avoiding midday sun it should be watered avoiding foliage when the soil is becoming dry to the touch the soil has been fertilized with a slow release fertilizer this year in the winter if it becomes too cold I need to put it on the ground and when its freezing time put mulch around the pot I know to check it for pests daily using neem oil mixed with water to spray it if there are signs of pests and a bit more any more advice will be greatly appreciated here are some pictures and one concern I have with something I noticed recently I point at it in the picture the discolored needles also should I remove the needles that fall off onto the pot at prevent disease?

Full sun all day, water well, no need to avoid foliage but don't do it deliberately. Use only organic fertiliser You can remove needles if you wish, but not essential. I hope it is not inside if it is put it out now.and remove the moss the needles are fine,
