As you have just re potted at totally the wrong time you must not do anything else this year. Let it grow. I hope it is not inside,

Thanks so much for your advice, I think I used the wrong words when I said re-potted, it was actually growing in the wild (in Bhutan) so I dug the the plant along with entire soil right to fit in this pot.
And yes it is outside ! So I still can’t prune it to give shape right ?

I would let it recover in the pot for this season and possibly next as well. Prunning in spring 2021 or 2022. That Will give you enough time to study the tree and make a plan for it..

Hello there, this plant has been with me for 5 years now ( i shared its first pic 5 years back), a month back it shed all its needles and the new ones sprung up.?
Do i need to re-pot it and any possibility of pruning it. I am kinda clueless, its been outside all these years surviving the harsh himalayan winter as well.

Shed all needles? Pine are not supposed to do that! Re potting is done in spring. If you have had this plant for five years you should know something about it by now, including when to prune what to prune. Several of the lower branches are too low and need to be removed, and there are more thin ones that are not good, but you need it to recover as it is not healthy right now

Thanks for getting back, yes true! Pines were not supposed to shed all its needles but surprisingly every branches tht had neddles went dark copper and dried up, i thought my plant died . Fortunately i saw some young needle shooting from the dried candles after a week. So this is the current state with very few needles but Fortunately many more shooting up. I really wanted? the plant to take its time and so just did one initital wiring to bend the main centre branch (tht was 5 years ago). Apart from tht, i have not really touched it in all these five years. Please do advise me how to go about it further particularly with regard to pruning and wiring at this stage, tbh i am still a novice and eager to learn from you all. I would really appreciate the kindness in the forum.

No pruning nor wiering in this stage!! 每日吃瓜 is about styling, yes. But before that you need to understand how to grow the tree healthy. Right now it looks like you need to get that right. Sorry, I do not know this species nor your climate.

Thanks so much! This plant is very common blue pine around himlayan range, we have a pleasant summer with max temp around 26°c to 28°c and cold winter to minimum -6°c.?
I will bring the plant back to full health:) and then maybe move on if the condition is favorable.
