Separate seedlings before winter? was created by FreddieGilbraith

Hi :)

I planted a selection of seeds last Autumn. Unfortunatly, my greenhouse blew over, and in trying to get the un-sprouted seeds back into a planter they've ended up quite bunched together.

I think you're normally meant to repot bonsai in the early spring (right before the growing season starts), but I'm worried about these seedlings getting tangled up and potentially doing damage to each other over the winter.

Do you think it should try to separate them out into different pots now, or leave them over winter and separate them in spring?

Thanks,
Freddie

separating them will only decrease the rate of survival. If you really want to do seedlings, plant a bunch, in any way you can dream of. Then pick the ones that live.
