Ficus microcarpa ginseng

My 11 year old son has bought me ficus microcarpa ginseng tree. It’s came in the sill plastic pot, I’m unsure how to purchase the right size of pot for it, I will use bonsai soil for it, I don’t want ruin it I’ve always wanted one but now I’m scared, I have attached a picture of it, if someone can help me with advise I would really appreciate it thank you

No picture, but we all know how they look. Not much in common with bonsai really.
What you should do now is learn how to take care of it for a year. No repotting and very little pruning.

As Tropfrog said , this has little to nothing to do with bonsai, other than it probably being labelled bonsai in the shop. Just treat is as you would treat every other houseplant.

Such a nice gift to get.
In terms of care, lots of sunlight. Keep in a warm spot and let the soil dry up a little between wateren. However, never let the soil dry out through and through.
DO not worry about repotting or trimming etc. For now, just focus on keeping it happy .

Wow! That is actually a quite cute little ginseng, if i found a similar in my garden center I would proboably grab it.
