I'm new to bonsai. My bonsai (Japanese Cedar) had been looking fine and healthy up until recently when I decided to prune it - to make it look more tree like. Is there anything I can do to stop the browning? Should I trim the brown leafy bits?

I'm from New Zealand btw if that helps, and I keep it inside just by the window.

Thanks!

I dont know your exact climate. But cryptomeria turns bronze colour during authum and winter and gets green again in spring. If it is still fairly warm where you live, put it outside and leave it there.
