Hi, had this bonsai for a couple of years. It was always quite sparse and eventually it stopped budding from one branch that looked dead so I pruned them off. I though it may encourage new growth but it now has one branch. How do I get it back to a normal tree shape ?

I think your Ficus has begun to grow, as evidenced by those green leaves. All you need now is time for that solitary branch to bud out, and create more branches. Patience is needed.

I cannot see any branch at all in the picture, just a trunk. But do not worry, If you get the care right new branches will develop.
