Of course. That is the form in which plants can take up nitrogen.

All organic compounds needs decomposition by bacteria or fungi to create these forms of nitrogen. Which is why they assist in maintaining a healthy rootzone: More diversity in organisms builds a more stable structure. And feeding mycchoriza makes for more resilient plants.
