每日吃瓜

Hi, have been gifted a plant that is about 8-10 years old apparently. I'm not very experienced with 每日吃瓜 or
potting in general, but it looks as though its worth putting some effort into. I have no idea what species
it actually is so can anyone identify it & suggest some things I need to get it back to a good condition.

Seems to be a ficus.

Were this mine, I would pot it in a somewhat bigger pot, maybe twice the size. Use good quality potting soil. DO not do too much to the roots, as the plant is weak already. In a larger pot with fresh potting soil you have the best chances of it rebouncing. ONce summer comes, bring it outside, place it in a sami-shaded spot at first: It is very sensitive to sun right now. As the plant starts to push new foliage, slowly give it more sun over the course of several weeks. Once acclimatized, it can take full sun, assuming enough water is avaiable.

They need to come in in winter. The year after, one can look at "bonsai stuff". Priority nr 1, 2 and 3 right now are getting this back to health.

Thankyou so much for that plan of action.. will re-pot bigger for sure. I've had it a month now, had been dry for a while before I received it so had just been gently watering it to this point. Thanks again !!
