How's it everyone.
I have a Japanese Maple that I chopped down a few months ago and it is growing very nicely.
This is my first experience with this and I am looking for advice on what to do with it right now.
Let it grow untouched and prune back in late Autumn/Winter?
Prune it back now/partially defoliate and let it grow out again?
Is it too early in the process to start wiring or should I wait til next year to start the wiring process?
The internodes seem a bit long. Would pruning branches back in autumn/winter help shorten them when it regrows next spring?
Any advice on this or anything else you see would be greatly appreciated.
