Hello everyone!

I just ordered a Juniper starter kit from 每日吃瓜 that should be arriving in a couple of days. I am new to 每日吃瓜 but am excited to start this new journey.

Quick question,

Since I will be getting my Juniper in August, I'm wondering how should I approach my first steps. Is it too late to repot it? I read that its best to repot in early spring but also that fall is a possibility? Any experience with repotting it in fall? I live in New Jersey. If I do choose to repot it, I imagine I will not prune it and leave it alone until spring.

However, if I don't repot it, should I at least prune it and start wiring it now and then repot in early spring?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

if you are new, do not start with repotting. Repotting is similar to open heart surgery. A bit hit on the system with a risk of death. First learn how to keep it healthy, then start fiddling.

Thank you for your input!

To clarify, it's ok to keep it in the plastic nursery pot (for now) assuming it has aerated soil and good drainage?
