My son bought me a bonsai for Christmas, but need advise how to look after it during the winter, do I need a heated mini greenhouse?

The chinese elm is a quite hardy species that can be grown outdoors all year round in most of northern europe and US. We need to know your location and lowest temperature to answer your question.

As these sort of questions are relatively common, I once started a website to write down some guides.
For chinese elm I also wrote one. Take a look: which will help you answer the basics, so you can return with more specific questions :)
