Going forward, allways assume that it is an outdoor tree. There are not one species in the entire world that live indoors naturally. Sometimes they need protection from the coldest part of the year, but that is almost never in living room conditions, but more often 5 or 10c.

take it out when there is no more frost and the next winter, put it in a cold greenhouse

In UK this species can be outside all year without needing a greenhouse. Put it in well draining substrate or protect it from excess rain with a small roof or similar.

Never fertilize trees in winter.
unless they are inside, once in a while, as they are not dormant and continue to grow...
