Hi, I’m New in the bonsái community and I have a doubt.
I have a populus nigra, It’s 58 cm tall and it’s log has a diameter of 8 mm.
Can I make a bonsái with it? Should I cut it to make it shorter? What Should I do?
I would appreciate any kínd of help.

The short answer is yes. But it may take some years.

If you want to put more mowement into the trunk, you can do it now. Other than that its just to let it grow and increase trunk size.
