Hi guys thanks for rplies I can assure soil is very wet must just be picture only ever allow serfurface of soil to dry s;ighlt, as it is a water loving spiecies and had just been watered. @Albas yes I'm aware it's deciduous, I'm in the uk and it's late spring/early summer. It's summer really but technically summer doesn't start till 21st. I think perhaps even though a bit late in year for it I might try repotting in a better draining substrate or gently brake up, remove some of the soil as it's the kind you get in garden centres where trees are under cover so perhaps it's retaining to much water and add some pumice, akadam and or lava rock poke a few holes in for draining it's the only thing I can think of. what do you guys think ?

I have a few trees but kinda new to bonsai hence asking people on here as figure most will know more. thanks for all your suggestions and help.

Yes, to be more easy for - akadama, you need to repot the tree as soon as possible and wait, based on my experience, not an expert.
