Now you have plants in your garden don't you?
Cherries is edible for humans as you may know. I have a big cherry tree in my garden an the dog do not take the fallen cherries. I also have a big patch of lilly of the valley which is known to be toxic to humans, she do not bother them eigther. But she just love eating the fresh grass in spring which make her puke.
Some things that are toxic to humans is not toxic to dogs and the other way around. Choclate is one example on the latter.
I do not know about holly nor cats. TBH I think this question is better suited for a pet or veterinarian forum than a bonsai forum.

I don't think that your animals will touch the tree. Keep it off the ground, you should be more concerned about how to look after this plant, like watering and pruning and where to keep it in the garden.
