Thank you for convincing me to raise trees that grow well indoors since evergreens would be difficult?to nurture in the winter.?

Some tree seeds have a very short germination time.?

We were in Amsterdam the day the elm trees dropped their seeds. It was sort of like snow ; there were large drifts of elm seeds blowing across the sidewalks.? Well, 5 or 6 centimeters seemed large.

I grabbed a handful. When i got home 8 or 9 days later i stuck them in some soil and none sprouted.? I looked up elm seeds and found they were viable 2-3 days.

It seems neat to grow a seed into a 50 year old tree. It is probably better to let nature grow the seeds, see which survive after a couple of years, and use them.

Or, if what you want is a 50 year old tree, find a 10 year old tree. Then you only have to wait 40 years.

There are evegreen trees all over the world. Very few of them can be grown indoors. All of them should be outdoors in summer.

That's alright, Tropfrog. The Maple is doing much better now that my caregiver planted it in his yard. I'd be selfish to keep evergreens indoors when I know that's unhealthy for them. Our rented lot is too small for me to install an attached greenhouse. ?So, I'll settle for a plant stand with built-in grow lights.

I think you got into some kind of definition confusion here. The very few species that can survive indoors for a longer period of time are all evergreens. So if you really want to do things the hard way, to grow trees indoors, evergreens is what you want. Not temperate evergreens like junipers, but tropical evergreens.

Evergreen bonsai would delight me, but they wouldn't thrive in my home. Instead, I'll focus on trees that can live there. Brussels 每日吃瓜 sells "indoor bonsai," but that doesn't mean their natural habitat is?indoors. Though I'm happy to do all I can to help my trees thrive, I should do what's best for them and me. So, I'd hate to stay in the house when the ramp landing gets too snowy for my wheelchair. I need to do what's best for the trees and me. Here's what Brussell's 每日吃瓜 calls? .

Hmm. I do not think you understand what I am saying. Still claiming indoors is not good for evergreens. Which is totally wrong. All trees that have a remote chanse to live more than a year indoors is evergreens. The oposite to evergreen is decidious. No decidious tree can be kept indoors.

All trees that brussel bonsai lists as indoor trees is evergreens. Not that I think many of them will survive more than a year indoors. But anyway, All are evergreen trees.

I tried to say that I'll grow so-called indoor bonsai instead of evergreens. So, I understood what you told me.

You're joking, aren't you? You suggested growing jade bonsai indoors where they wouldn't flower. I've just said I'd grow "indoor bonsai" because living indoors would be too difficult for evergreens. I even posted a link to Brussels 每日吃瓜's list of indoor bonsai. ?Here's another like to it. Please tell me what tree to order.
