Your cypress should go dormant every year. If not, it weakens. It is environmental factors that triggers dormancy. If the tree is already outdoors there are nothing else you can do. If your winters is too mild for bald cypress, shose another species. Climate is changing and we may need to adapt our tree choices according to It.
