Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some feedback on the status of this tree? I went out of town and left it in some hands of people who did their best to keep stuff watered. It looks like it’s deteriorated a little bit and desiccated.I currently have it in some shade to hopefully help it rebound. Thanks

We all have stories about trees dieing. Funny enough it is always when we are out of town and the responsibility is on someone else .

I googled Sekka tree and got two possible matches:
salix: your tree will recover.
cypress: your tree is likelly dead.

Probably talking about a Sekka Hinoki, show us some pictures so we can understand how bad is it...
Because like Tropfrog said, when talking about cypresses, foliage not being green anymore is not good news...
