Hi everyone, I just finished the first wiring on a Shimpaku Juniper. I did some pretty hard bending which stressed the tree a bit, and I noticed the tree became quite wobbly in the pot.To help it recover, I’ve done the following:? Stabilization: Used chopsticks to help anchor the trunk (I plan to lash the trunk to them for extra security).? Root Care: Some roots showed up during the bending, so I immediately covered them with a fresh mix of Akadama, Pumice, and Lava rock.? Aftercare: I’ve moved it into a spot with bright, indirect sunlight and I am misting the foliage regularly.Since this is my first time doing heavy work on a Shimpaku, I’d love any advice on my wiring or tips on how to ensure it pulls through the stress. Does my setup look okay for recovery?

My advice would be, leave it like it is for the next year. Whatever you do now, would give the tree more stress.
Keep it outside, some where protected from wind and harsh weatherconditions .?
Try to keep it alive and make it strong.

I think you need to wire the plant into the pot, might not be easy as it may only have one hole in the pot but much better than chopsticks. This is a very young plant and needs growing on. If you feed a wire through the bottom of the pot and around the trunk and hook the other end over the edge of the pot that should help. It was not a good idea to do this wiring while the plant was unstable in the pot. Keep it watered and see how it goes, do not do anything else to it this year at least.

That wooden stake makes it impossible to give any feedback other than: please learn about how to take bonsai pictures.
