Hello, I just recently purchased a Japanese Elm. It has been doing well, but today when I cane home from work a large majority of the leaves had died. I do not know what happened at all. If anybody has any idea, as what I should do. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much.

What country are you in? Where are you keeping it? How are you watering it? I have not heard of a Japanese Elm, but if you mean Chinese Elm it should not be kept inside, if it is then there is your problem.Correct watering is crucial to the survival, you must not water to a schedule. Check every day and water when the soil is just becoming dry. Depending on your conditions this could be needed every day.
We could use a picture.

yes, i would say scorching would be the problem, make sure you give it sufficient water so it can survive the next hot blast.
