it is a juniper procumbens nana. By the looks of it, it seems like what people here refer to as "mallsai". A few things about your young plant.

1) It is an outdoor plant, so if you keep it indoors it will die.
2) They are often overpriced, so if you can, you should return it, and come back here to get info on how to acquire a proper bonsai, or pre-bonsai, or make a pre-bonsai yourself.
3) You can certainly keep it, and take care of it if you would like.

If you go for #3. I would suggest you take care of it now the way it is. Don't over water, feel the soil, and only water when the soil feels dry. Do not let go bone dry though!!!. Mist the foliage from time to time. Read about "re-potting" and next year, as soon as you can (on the proper time of the year), re-pot the plant with proper bonsai soil. I would re-pot on a bigger pot if I wanted to get a thicker trunk, bigger plant. You don't have to, if you like its size though.

You should also read about "thinning" and "pruning" and start from there this year. Good luck!

In my country - and I'm quite sure, in other countries too - the price normally is not an acceptable reason for a refund.

Here in the U.S. sometimes they'll take it back, specially if you just bought it, it is worth trying. You can argue that the soil is not proper bonsai soil, or that the lower branch looks "sick". It depends where you buy it, but I have a close friend who got a "mallsai" two weeks ago, and he actually got his money back. They also tend to be really overpriced here, so it is a complete rip off. I mean honestly, they get cuttings, put them in a small pot, and sell them for the same price of a 10+ year old juniper bush...
