Greetings to all.
You 've be very helpful if you could help me with some guidelines . I've just bought the plant.
I want to know if I could cut this piece of the trunk or if I can find another utility.
Also, as you can see from the pictures , the trunk has 2 main branches . (I hope I'm not using the wrong term ) and I can't realize what shape can give him . I've never saw a ficus like this with two "main" branches .
Can I expose him to direct sunlight ?
Thank you for your patience and sorry for my bad english. I'm from Romania.

Ficus love warm temperatures and hate the cold.
Best time to do anything to a ficus is in Summer as the tree will recover quickly.
I don't think it matters to much if you eventually decide to remove 1 of the top branches.
Yes Ficus love direct exposure to sunlight, just don't forget it's in the sun.
Ficus like to be fertilised alot when they are growing well.
good luck with it

Can you tell me how much can I expose him to direct sunlight on the course of a day ?
And also, when I will change his pot can I use only 100% akadama soil ? and can I wash his roots ?

You have to et a ficus get used to the full sun, by first placing it in only morning and/or late afternoon sun. After some 2 weeks you can move it into stronger sun. After a month it should be able to sustain full sun, all day long.
As for this plant.. I would not worry too much about styling. It is a houseplant, and will the fat tuberous roots will not make for a good bonsai, unless you decide to tae extreme measures such as layering the bulk of them off. In order to get rid of the grafting point where now 2 branches emerge, you would have to do a lot of trimming of the transition after removing one branch.
As said, I would just kep this as a houseplant, and look for a different type of ficus to start bonsai training. In the long run you will have a better outcome.
