So I have had my bonsai (Chineese Elm, 7 years old) for a couple of months now and just recently a lot (about 60%) of the leaves have fallen off. Is this normal, and Is there anything i should look out for?
  • I have been watering arrording to some other online forums, for example watering when the soil is light brown and feels a little dry, and watering untill water drips from the bottom of the pot.
  • I have also been pruning it according to popular sites and guides.
  • After making a small mark on the trunk of the tree it is still green underneath.
  • The majority of the leaves are still green, with a few yellow ones, however the majority of the fallen leaves are green and are not crispy.
  • Finally I have been taking out of my windowsil during the really hot days.

  • Hope the above information is enough. anything else just ask.

OK, so here is a link to a image site which I have uploaded some pictures to as I am unable to do it here due to file size.

Make it smaller, then. You can do it in paint.
Most people will not go to external sites and the flow of the topic would be ruined if you deleted that image from Imgur.
