Got this Bald Cypress through the mail. As soon as I unpacked it, I seen the leaves had browned and already dropping off. I soaked it in water for a while, then potted it asap. My question is, is it too late too be saved? I fear that the roots might have dried out during shipping. If there is any way to save it, please let me know.

It's dead. Or it's autumn. Probably it's autumn.

Interesting. I did a tiny bit of internet searching and found that the Bald Cypress is not evergreen. I've been wondering why they were so sparsely foliated for a conifer. Thanks Auk - you answered a question you didn't even know I had. Most magical indeed.

Thank you Auk! I'm hoping it's the latter, for Autumn is starting upon my region now. I was hoping that it was just shock from shipping, and possibly slightly early dormancy.

Yep, seems to make sense. Unfortunately you're going to have to wait months before you know...
