每日吃瓜

I'm new to 每日吃瓜. Started a Japanese garden this summer. Bought a 每日吃瓜 and had it indoors for a while ( It had been indoors in the garden centre). It looked a bit unhappy and I looked on line. Advice seemed to say it should be outdoors. It was ok for a while but has now gone yellow and is losing needles.
It's not too wet or dry. Could it be a deciduous variety? Any help would be appreciated. Have attached a photo.

Larch are among the few deciduous conifers, along with bald cypress & dawn redwoods (metasequoia). and are renown for their yellow fall color.
Glad to know you looked it up & took it outside. The majority of bonsai need the outdoors, though they can be brought in from time to time for a few days. Only tropicals can tolerate indoor climates. Time to get your tree in a wintering area, like a mulch bed, cold frame, or unheated garage & wait until spring!

Yes Larch are deciduous and just turning now. They are also totally hardy and do not require any protection. Mine will withstand -12C easily with no ill effects, and I have a lot.

Many thanks. That's put my mind at rest. Just need to find a winter home for it. Would the shed do as I don't have space in the garage . would you recommend a cold frame in preference? I could find space on the patio for that.

Thank you. Brkirland22 has recommended cold frame or garage for over winter. It looks as though you leave yours out all winter? I would guess we don't get anything colder than -5C.

leave it outside. There is absolutely no need to bring it indoors/out of the frost
