I would guess some 5 years old and I think their pots are big enough for now to let them grow.

Hello, I’m lurking the forums to learn more. This spring I wan’t to get a ficus. Do you say that it “isn’t a bonsai” because its just an untrained young tree? I notice the trunk is nothing close to as thick as it should be for a bonsai, is this one of the key factors making it “not a bonsai”. And it shouldn’t be in a bonsai pot because its not developed and needs a bigger pot to grow correctly right?
