Received this for free, but I'd like to take care of it properly. Am I supposed to remove the glued on rocks? The instructions say to water it once a week from the hole in the bottom, but I want to find out the proper way to do it. What species is it?

Looks like a Schefflera. Yes, remove the glued on rocks. No, don' t water it through the hole in the bottom.

Not really. There is so much that is labeled as bonsai... just for commercial reasons. Most people don't know what bonsai is about.
