Suicidal Bugs

I have my bonsai in my office. I spray it regularly and have a grow light for it. Many mornings, I will get to my desk and have several bugs dying around my plant. I also notice some little mounds of dirt coming up from the dirt about the pebbles. I'm not sure if the bugs are burrowing to the surface and then dying overnight (because that's when my grow light is on).
I'd love to know how to handle the bugs!
Thanks!

Can't see the relative size and can hardly see details so I'm going to make a wild guess:
This may indicate you are overwatering - or you are using a drip-tray ("Weevils [..] are attracted to moisture and can be trapped in shallow pans of water"). Again, guessing, as you did not include a picture of the tree (of which I doubt it's a real bonsai as you mentioned 'pebbles').
Anyway:
- in my office
- several bugs (possibly )
- pebbles
- grow light on overnight
- possible overwatering
That's a recipe for disaster.
