Please help me to identify this disease/pest (Chinese elm) was created by filster

Hi everyone, I have a Chinese elm that recently started to "drip sap" and when I look closely I see these brown and white "lumps" on the branches. There are lot of them but I just didn't notice them soon enough. The tree also shedded a lot of leaves (but it's autumn here). Is it some kind of pest? How should I get rid of it? Any advice very welcome. Thanks!

You have a serious scale infection. Get insecticide which explicitly mentions scale and apply as described.
Scale can over time kill your tree.
