Since I posted this a long time ago I have done some trimming and Jin on my tree. I tried to make the branches bend down.

I’m also trying to get back buds to come out of the back for future back branches.

I don't think 1 month is a long time ago, but ok...

Angles seems a little a bit more convincing, that straight left branch would look better a little lower, but let it rest for now.

Nice project you have going there. Nice to see you get your hands dirty.

THe one thing I noticed immediately however is that all your branches have a different angle with the main trunk. This is something I try to avoid. And if the angle changes, the lower ones "hang down" more, than the upper ones, which is the opposite of what you have done.

I think the first minute or so of my video here might help:

And, for a second option to watch hoe I went about a similar tree:

I find this simple material the hardest to work with. Judging my the comments you have had so far, I wonder who has given this a try before and how they did.

So basically you meant it would look better if all the branches were at the same angle. Right?

Yes, just like I said before, but lower one would be heavier, so if you want, lower branches can have more angle, like I said you'll have to imagine as if weighed down by snow... So it doens't make much sense to have lower branches with less angle then top ones...

Sorry LB, but what do you mean with that? Not being argumentative but just asking.

We just told him about branches angles, to avoid handleabar branches and 2D shaping...
Nobody said like it was easy, but those are common begginers' mistakes, and I don't see where we get those advises wrong.

By the way, that's a great video, I think it will help him a lot, I love twin trunks, and yours looks dope!

Cheers!

Lets just say that I see a large number of fairly negative responses here. Not very nice for people just getting started.

Login was very active for a short while in 2023. Now, no new post for over a year. It would be nice to get some updates on his trees, but I doubt it will come.
