Could there be more than one species that is called silver Birch? Betula pendula is a european species. Maybe there are Another one in america?

Yes, makes no sence. In bonsai People tend to mostly grow japaneese chineese, local or tropical species. Since pendula is neigther in america there must be another explanation.

Ok, maybe it I'd not. A silver birch, butt the leaves do look like some kind of birch.

So I did it and cut off most of the leaves! We will see what happens!!!
