This ficus is 4-5 years old. After repotting and root pruning several times, I’ve noticed on section of the trunk has grown completely out of proportion the the rest of the roots. All the roots are otherwise healthy and radial, but this one section has grown to nearly the diameter of the actual trunk. Is there a method to reduce the vigor or separate the root or would I be better off just removing it entirely?
