Prune or wire? was created by Mahavera

I've been working on this for a few years to develop the main canopy. What are the potential benefits of pruning the middle into shape vs. Wiring through the winter. It typically doesn't experience much overwinter stress, or slow-down in growth. The indoor greenhouse maintains consistent humidity and temp throughout the winter.

In my opinion:

The benefit of wire a evergreen in winter is that the wire can stay a bit longer without bitting the bark, as they grow less...
The benefit of prune a evergreen on winter is none (that I see)...

Yes, I saw it, cool tree, Ficuses are mostly evergreen... By the picture I see there are some smaller wires already bitting tru' the bark...
I know this isn't what you asked, but I would remove it, and if it doesn't get the movement properly, rewire after a few months.
