How is Silt as 每日吃瓜 Soil? was created by engr.aamir

Dear fellows, for last many days I have been trying to buy Akadama online but not a single online store ships to Pakistan. Therefore, I am in great trouble regarding finding bonsai soil. In regard to this, my question is, can I use silt as bonsai soil because it drains out water quickly, but yes it may not provide space for roots to grow? It might be a stupid question, but question is a question ;-)

No you're not. You don't need akadama.

Interesting question. I would say no. Too dense, no air, and holds too much water. But why not ask a local expert? They know more about the local conditions and available materials than I do:

silt, a soil component in size between sand and clay.
Not suitable. You need granular media with smallest grains in the 1mm size range, up to 5mm, roughly.
