Ok.. I couldn't find anything regarding this matter. So i'll ask fresh..

I bought a white magnolia tree from local nursery 2 days ago(Aprox 50 centimeters long). I intend to make a bonsai out of it later. The problem is, i don't know what soil it prefers. It came with dirty, weedy, sandy soil (too much sand! real glittery..).. I could only find information about Magnolia Stellata in here. Mine doesn't have any buds on it. Should i repot? And if i should repot, what kind of soil should i use..?

First what country are you in? Makes a difference if you are in the northern or sourhern hemisphere. Next, Magnolia do not make good bonsai, and they would now have finished flowering so would not have buds. As for soil and re potting I think they need a soil that is near neutral or slightly acid so Ph 7 or slightly lower, as for re potting this is the wrong time of year if it is your summer.

I am in Turkey/ Istanbul.. Yes it is summer in here. I should wait for winter or early spring then?
Then I won't make it as a bonsai, but a smaller tree by careful prunning and training perhaps.

Yes, as a smaller tree it would look fine. Re pot in spring next year or you could put it into a larger pot without disturbing the roots, this will allow it to grow a thicker trunk.

Yes.. I'll put it into a bigger pot. Then prune in winter..
